The Omeklan are a humanoid species native to the planet Omek.
Their society is known to be clan-based, with the head family being placed above the regular members of the clan. They are known to have a polytheistic form of religion with many gods. Some of their gods include Quay, the moon and head god and Am-Shak, their god of thunder. Shrines known as Chells are built in the center of every city in honor of that cities god.
Their homeworld of Omek was originally home to a Synril outpost which was abandoned during their war with the Ditakur. The outpost was rediscovered by an Omeklan clan and was used to research weapons to use against other clans. Other clans used schematics from the outpost to design FTL capable vessels. Many had chosen to leave their homeworld, mostly becoming pirates and mercenaries following contact with other species.
