The Shivolians are a humanoid species originally native to the planet Shivol.
Prior to the 24th century, their society developed antimatter weapons in a cold war. However, a computer malfunction caused an antimatter explosion, causing the Shivolians to be forced underground. When the Terran Federation made contact with them, a Pilgrimage was placed on the planet, allowing the Shivolians to be removed from their polluted homeworld.
