The Bratan are a species native to the planet Barat, which was colonized by the Nihydron.
After the conquest, the Bratans were stripped of their basic rights and representation and relocated them to their eastern continent. Many Bratans who opposed this formed the Bratan Resistance, which dedicated themselves to liberation of the planet. Others were experimented on trying to make them more docile and controllable, so that they could be made servants. However, when these procedures were revealed to the public, the colonists rioted and withdrew from the planet.
